Why Wearing Bandana Is Bad

animated button Stephanie Davidson

A very original concept that comes from a recent graduate of the American School, Rhode Island School of Design. The button in question is 1 inch in diameter, approximately 2.5 cm! It's simple, it's "cute", it changes, it's been so fun to see!

If you enjoy his work, I advise you to go take a look (or two) on its website , she highly values the creation of pop-up books!

Ms Pro Reader Will Read Pro Duo Card

A Renoir without Courbet

I like the Wishing Wall live a little again, and particularly at this time, among other holdings, those contained in this ticket : Annabelle pretty embraces the Wall of Eva and Alicia and Wall posts @ of Annaelle .

We will, of course , consider the request made by Olivier in A violet for Ninon (at Wallwisher ) in order not to risk another incident that creators of this space will make it impossible to erase. They no longer seem to care for their baby

... That said, we do not forget those who contributed to the attractive appearance of this Wall . No name so as not to risk of forgetting them. With the exception of what, above all, wants to serve Wall linking this announcement Burmese Days on which, here and there, we will return.

And finally expose this beautiful Sleeper of Pierre-Auguste Renoir hiding his birth as the world decried by some as shown in The origin of the click already reported in The original pink and green ...

When Frozen Comes Home In Buckets

Penguin Great Food, blankets for the best taste

Penguin released in April, his next collection themed. This year, it is based on good food with covers inspired by the art of ceramics.

In all, 20 structures will emerge in this collection, speaking of food for 400 years, in a fun and well written (by the publisher).

For now, here are three Extracts from this series, which were made by the designer confirmed Coralie Bickford-Smith (visit their site, you understand why she works at Penguin, it's fantastic!). Each blanket is inspired ceramics, everything is still on the period mentioned in the book.

couv The first is based on a pattern of 1957:

The second is oriented eighteenth century with this ground in 1770 :

And finally, one I find absolutely beautiful typography, inspired by a pattern of 1892:

With such a teaser, Penguin, if I may say, knows we put water in his mouth! A magnificent job in any case strongly the other 17!

Fix It Up Kate's Adventure Full Version

Exhibition Catalogue Helio Oiticica

I think this is the first time I present an exhibition catalog here. I hesitated, saying that there was a huge gap with the literature, but ultimately, I think it is printed with a reflection of editorial and often behind a design that is unusual!

is indeed the case here, with this catalog on the exhibition Helio Oiticica, Brazilian artist, which takes place in Itau Cultural, Sao Paulo. The work you will see later, is the work of Brazilian art director, Jader Rosa, I suggest you visit the website .

A format is changing and which require a bit of time to be printed correctly! Anyway, great discovery!

Tamil Kavithaimarriage

Thoth Publishing Miracle and the Agency, Act 2

After a first collaboration about the book In the skin of Astrid you can read here , I had to work on a new book, How long . If the first was rather "light", it treats cancer poignantly. Indeed, is a woman who recounts her mother's cancer.

This is not an obvious subject to tackle, or otherwise deal with, here is the back cover:

"In truth, when all this crap started, I thought of writing something to tell from day to day what would happen.
But I was so sure everything would be fine I did not bother to take a pen. I was so sure there would be nothing to tell, so sure I would have barely begun to write, everything would be resolved. And therefore nothing to say what whatsoever.
But today, I think it's time to tell it all. To hold, to support, to relieve me. Because I'm not at all sure that all will end well. I'm not allowed to say, and I keep on thinking. But the little voice, nagging back and is there constantly to tell me that maybe nothing will end well.
Then I'll write, without knowing in advance the outcome of this book. I'm at the same point that you who read this. I do not know how it all will end. We are now

January 16, 2009. In August 2008, after 2 long months of tests, my mother learned she had lung cancer.

Here, as best I could tell, the story of one person among millions of others.

My mother. "

Initially, the idea for this coverage was to make something hand-drawn, while keeping the idea of passing time, with something like an hourglass or a clock. He then came to me a first impression. In order to match the idea of passing time and still set the context of history, I realized the following coverage, which I hope, speaks for itself!

Unfortunately this track was deemed too "medical" too much "comic" is treated as a real witness. This is unfortunate given that this is my favorite!

In a completely different note, I thought playing with typography by taking the curves of an electroencephalogram. This coverage is already very much in the suggestion of the atmosphere of the book.

I admit I made this proposal more to the idea, I do not think it really accomplished. But ultimately it's not so bad because she seduced the author of this book! She already had a visual basic with a dandelion, whose seeds fly way dictionary, the typo of my proposal will be used for the title of the book. I unfortunately do not have rights to this video, you can not see that, once released!

Meanwhile, a collaboration once more interestingly, the next episode! Do not hesitate to give your opinions on previous proposals, the more you notice, most interesting!

Can My Baby Choke On Phlegm

Memories, a cover for tough guys

I propose today to discover this book to cover more than original, as is done in faux leather.

This book was produced as part of a project to collect funds for an association fighting against cancer. The book tells ten stories of those having survived or lost a loved one. Artists, illustrators and designers were invited to create their own visual response to the word "Memories".

Here, the English designer Rishi Sodhi has handcrafted his own book, you can admire the result following:
